I recorded this Vlog while on the tail end of my 14-day mandatory quarantine, not because I had COVID or anybody around me did, but due to some travel.
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that sometimes we can start to feel frustrated or sorry for yourself. We have to wear these masks, things are shut down, and all the activities we love to do have been taken away. Socialization is limited and it hasn’t been great for a lot of people in business. I work in the retail sector and have seen so many of my clients and their staff struggle. It hasn’t been that great even for us.
During these times, it’s easy to start getting negative (for the lack of a better word), and we have to work very hard just to find gratitude.
Is it really all that bad? There is a lot suffering going on, but for most of us when we look around, we see that our families are healthy, we have great friends, and businesses are starting to roll back. We all have things to feel positive about.
Look at the heroic acts of everyone on the frontlines who don’t have a choice and have to go to work everyday. While this certainly extends to healthcare workers, we should not ignore retail employees, and people who work in warehouses and factories to keep things going for the economy and themselves.
I want to thank all these people from the bottom of my heart for doing such an amazing job. They are part of the reason that I can still find a smile and laugh every day.
